The LibreSilicon Public License, LSPL for short, should ensure the following:
- It should be based on the GNU Affero General Public License
- Besides software it should also cover HDL code, schematics, layouts and netlists
- It should incorporate the following aspects of the GNU Lesser General Public License, under the terms of the LGPL:
- Allow dynamic linking of libraries in closed-source projects
- Extend the dynamic linking policy from the LGPL to PDK components, generated by LibrePDK, LibreCell and other IP cores, licensed under the LSPL, with the same terms and conditions applying as for dynamically linked libraries in the LGPL.
