The LibreSilicon Public License, LSPL for short, should ensure the following:
- It should be based on the GNU Affero General Public License
- Besides software it should also cover HDL code, schematics, layouts and netlists
- It should incorporate the following aspects of the GNU Lesser General Public License, under the terms of the LGPL:
- Allow dynamic linking of libraries in closed-source projects
- Extend the dynamic linking policy from the LGPL to PDK components licensed under the LSPL, with the same terms and conditions applying as for dynamically linked libraries in the LGPL
